Classic Blackjack Versus European Blackjack

Blackjack was likely first invented in the beginning of the 17th century in Spain. Although it has taken on multiple variations and flavors around the world for the last several centuries, it remains a favorite card table game in both land-based and web-based casinos. Based on skill and chance, it’s a fast-paced gambling game that keeps the blood pumping and bets accumulating.

For the many variations of blackjack, the objective is the same: beat the dealer’s hand. You do this by getting as close to a card total of 21 (blackjack) without going over it. Rules change a little across the variations, mostly in terms of payouts, numbers of decks used, and other gaming options. Two of the most popular variations are American and European. In American, played with six to eight decks, two cards are dealt, one face up and one face down. The second is the “hole card.” In European, played with two decks, the dealer receives the first face up and does not receive the hole card until the player receives a full hand. The advantage of this difference in European is that the dealer is not able to check for the possibility of blackjack before the player’s hand is complete.

A Fresh Spin on an Old Favorite

With Switch Studios’ new release, European blackjack gets a brand-new look. European Blackjack is a native mobile app that can be played on any device, whether you want to play within your home or anywhere on-the-go.

The powerful game engine sports intuitive, smooth gameplay, virtual-realistic animation, and thrilling sound that creates an immersive experience, making you feel like you’ve stepped up to a live table. Microgaming and Switch Studios are both known for thinking outside the box, creating innovative gaming experiences that put you on the edge of the online gambling experience.

You can also play it in both portrait and landscape modes, watching it adjust to the interface and size of whichever device you prefer. Customize your game so you can effortlessly split, double down, or take insurance as you develop your strategy like a real card shark. Whether you’re a connoisseur of blackjack or new to the game, this new mobile-based game is perfect for you.

How to Play – Basics and Special Features

European Blackjack promotes straightforward gameplay, along with its slick graphics and innovative animations. You can bet between 1 and 200 credits as you enjoy the extremely low volatility with a 99.6% RTP (Return to Player) rate.

As with usual European blackjack rules, you play with two regular decks. The dealer must stand on all 17 and cannot peek at the hole card, giving you an advantage. You can choose to double down on a hard value of 9, 10, or 11. This will give you one more card and doubles your bet. You can choose to split once to make two hands and use multiple cards to split aces. If you split an ace and have a card value of 10, this counts as 21 but not blackjack. You cannot split 10s and face cards.

Take an insurance bet if it is half of the current bet value.  You would take an insurance bet if the dealer’s first card is an ace. The insurance pays out when the dealer arrives at blackjack.

Special features in this game include Turbo Mode and Left Hand Mode. Turbo Mode can be accessed through the Settings menu and is for gameplay enhancement. You can speed up the card animation that occurs when cards are being dealt and cleared. Left Hand Mode is also available through the Settings menu when you play this game on mobile devices. Through this mode you can mirror the position of action buttons like Deal/Clear, Hit/Stand, Split/Double, and Yes/No for enhanced user-friendliness.

You’ll also experience rapid load processing and a smooth, intuitive UX (user experience). Customizable, cutthroat, and always a good time, play this game soon at River Belle Casino.
